The committee overseeing the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) House of Representatives primaries in Delta state has declared Arc. Barr. James Akporero winner of the party’s ticket ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The declaration which was made Friday at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja indicated that James Akporero defeated two other contestants to emerge winner.
Addressing party faithful and supporters shortly after his arrival from Abuja, Akporero expressed gratitude to the leadership of the NDC, party delegates, supporters and the people of Isoko North/South Federal Constituency for entrusting him with the mandate to represent the party in the forthcoming election.
The Ozoro born politician and veteran Nollywood actor described his emergence as a collective mandate aimed at deepening grassroots representation and strengthening development across Isoko Federal Constituency.
“I’m deeply humbled by the overwhelming support from our party members, delegates and stakeholders. This ticket is not just about James Akporero, it’s about our shared vision for quality representation, inclusiveness and sustainable development for our people” he said.
Akporero also pledged to work closely with party leaders and stakeholders to ensure victory for the NDC in the 2027 general elections.
He also called on the party members and supporters to remain united and committed as the party prepares for the general elections stressing that the mission ahead is to deliver quality representation and bring governance closer to the people.
