PDP Boat Sinks As Prof Muoboghare Joins APC In Ughelli North

Former Delta State commissioner, Prof Patrick Muoboghare, has revealed that leaving the PDP to join the All Progressive Congress, APC, in Ughelli North was as a result of the irresponsible situation of his former party.

He made this known at Uwheru when he was officially received into the All Progressive Congress, by the state chairman of the party, Elder Omeni Sobotie and Ughelli North leaders in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.

According to Muoboghare, “I have to leave the party because PDP is no longer alive and I have to bail out, PDP is a sunk ship and having survived the wreck, it will be silly of me to go down with the ship.

“What we are doing today is inevitable because the captain of the abandoned it and at this point in time, the party is no longer in existence and I have to move to meet up.

Before leaving the PDP, I have to study the parties before deciding were to go politically and I saw that, ADC, Labour Party are not the alternative because they are not organized as the APC, they struggle for stability.

“I did not know, when the Delta State Governor and others were bailing out of the ship, I thought I could savage the ship but the water was too much for us and as the it was going down, I manage to swim out.” He said.

On his part, the Chairman of APC, Ughelli North, Mr Samuel Evwighono Onofeghare said, Today we are very happy to have a renowned and thoroughly bred academia and politician in the person of Prof Patrick Muoboghare with us.

“His coming to join us is a clear testament that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori is doing well and with this, we in Ughelli will reward him and quantum votes in 2027

“No more opposition in Ughelli and we are happy that our ward to ward visitation is yielding results and I can tell you for free that the coming of Prof Patrick Muoboghare to APC is the beginning more people that will be joining us.” He revealed.

Also, a leader of the party in Uwheru and Ughelli North, Chief Simeon Ohwofa said, “Today is a very special day in Uwheru APC as we gather to receive a very prominent member of our community, we have been waiting for him all the while and he came at the right time.

“We are glad to have him in our midst and as a three times Commissioner, his wealth of experience will be of great impact in the party.”
