Renowned Nigerian drummer Tony Allen has passed on. The co-founder of Afrobeat died in Paris on Thursday aged 79. Allen was the drummer and musical director of music band of Fela Kuti and Africa 70. “Without Tony Allen, there would be no afrobeat”, Fela once said. A criminal gang which kidnapped three students of the University of Port Harcourt(UNIPORT), on 7 April, gang-raped the female among them.
