Tinubu’s Reforms Winning Nigerians’ Confidence, Says Ibegbulem As APC Primary Holds In Delta

Former Principal Secretary to former Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Dr. Hilary Ibegbulem, has thrown his weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic reforms and re-election bid, declaring that the administration’s policies are laying the foundation for long-term national growth and development.

Dr. Ibegbulem made the remarks on Saturday while speaking with journalists during the Presidential Primary Election held at Ute-Okpu Ward 7 in Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State.

The former Principal Secretary said the large turnout of party faithful and supporters during the exercise reflected growing confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership and economic direction.

According to him, Nigerians who believe in the country’s future have continued to rally behind the administration despite challenges associated with ongoing economic reforms.

“Of course, as you can see, we believe strongly in the economic policies of Mr. President, our leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu. You can see the level of mobilisation today. We are in total support of his administration,” he said.

Dr. Ibegbulem specifically commended major economic decisions taken by the Federal Government, including the removal of fuel subsidy, the floating of the naira and ongoing infrastructure development efforts across the country.

He maintained that while some of the reforms may appear difficult in the short term, they are necessary steps towards building a stronger and more sustainable economy.

“We are in total support of the removal of fuel subsidy. We are in total support of the floating of the naira. We are also in total support of infrastructural development initiatives that have been put in place for Nigerians. We stand fully with our President,” he stated.

Calling on residents and supporters to remain steadfast, Dr. Ibegbulem urged Nigerians to continue supporting President Tinubu’s administration and its reform agenda.

Speaking on the conduct of the primary election, he described the exercise as peaceful, transparent and reflective of the wishes of party members.

“The process has been very peaceful and transparent. You can see that the will of the people has prevailed,” he said.

Expressing optimism ahead of the general election, Dr. Ibegbulem predicted stronger participation beyond party membership, noting that many Nigerians who are not part of the APC would also support President Tinubu at the polls.

“You are going to see much more during the main election because there are many people who are not APC members that are not here today. During the main election, you will see their support,” he added.

The Presidential Primary Election across Delta State witnessed participation by party members as the APC continued consultations and mobilisation ahead of future electoral contests.
