Bayelsa CP Tours Division, Area Comamd, Warns Officers Against Illegal Arrests, Detention

The Commissioner of Police, Bayelsa State Command, CP Ajao Saka Adewale, has warned police personnel against unlawful arrests, arbitrary detention and other acts capable of violating the fundamental rights of members of the public. Adewale gave the warning on Sunday, October 18, 2026, during an unannounced inspection of five police divisions in Ogbia and Nembe Local Government Areas of Bayelsa State. The commissioner, who emphasised professionalism, discipline and vigilance in policing, directed officers to ensure that all arrests and detentions strictly comply with the law and established police procedures.…
