Delta State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Dr Darlington Ijeh, has congratulated Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, following his victory at the party governorship primary election, describing the outcome as a reflection of the confidence and trust party stakeholders have in the Governor’s leadership.
In a congratulatory statement issued after the primary election, Ijeh said Governor Oborevwori’s overwhelming victory underscored the widespread acceptance of his administration and the growing support for his development-driven policies across the state.
According to him, the successful conduct of the primary election and the Governor’s emergence as the party’s candidate represent not only a victory for democracy but also an endorsement of the administration’s achievements in infrastructure development, youth empowerment, economic growth, and grassroots inclusion.
He noted that Governor Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda has continued to deliver tangible progress in various sectors, including tourism, cultural development, and economic transformation, adding that Delta State has witnessed notable growth under the present administration.
“Your leadership has demonstrated commitment, humility, accessibility, and service to the people. The outcome of the primary election reflects the confidence Deltans have in your vision and in the continued implementation of the MORE Agenda,” Ijeh stated.
The Commissioner also commended party delegates, supporters, and stakeholders for ensuring a peaceful and transparent primary process, urging residents of the state to remain united and continue supporting the administration’s developmental initiatives.
He emphasized that Governor Oborevwori’s reelection bid represents continuity in governance, consolidation of ongoing development projects, expanded economic opportunities, youth and women empowerment, and enhanced investment prospects for Delta State.
Ijeh further assured the Governor of his continued support and solidarity, expressing confidence that the administration would sustain its drive toward greater development and prosperity.
