Delta Central: Prof Akpodiete Picks Expression Of Interest Form Under NDC With Fanfare

 

Abuja, Nigeria — Prof. (Olorogun) Alexander O. Akpodiete on Friday, May 15,2026, formally picked up his Expression of Interest Form at the National Secretariat of the National Democratic Coalition (NDC) in Abuja to contest for the Delta Central Senatorial seat in the 2027 general elections.

The event, which attracted supporters, party faithful, youth groups, professionals, and well-wishers from different parts of the country, was marked by enthusiasm, solidarity, and renewed calls for visionary leadership in Delta Central Senatorial District.

Speaking shortly after receiving the forms, Prof. Akpodiete expressed gratitude to the leadership of the NDC and supporters who gathered in large numbers to witness the occasion. He described the moment as “a call to service and a commitment to the future of Delta Central and Nigeria.”

According to him, the people of Delta Central deserve purposeful representation focused on security, economic empowerment, education, healthcare, youth development, and transparent leadership.

Prof. Akpodiete reaffirmed his commitment to his proposed STHEAM Agenda, which focuses on:

“Our people deserve representation that is accessible, accountable, forward-looking, and committed to real development. This journey is not about one individual — it is about building a stronger, safer, and more prosperous Delta Central for future generations,” Prof. Akpodiete stated.

Supporters at the event described Prof. Akpodiete as a bridge-builder with the experience, global exposure, and grassroots connection necessary to effectively represent Delta Central at the National Assembly.
