The Guild of Online Media Editors and Publishers of Nigeria, GOMEP-NG, has commended Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for appointing Professor Patrick Muoboghare as Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of Dennis Osadebe University, Asaba.

The guild, in a congratulatory message jointly signed by its National President, Comrade Akpovoke Otiti, and National Secretary, Prince Clinton Uba, described Muoboghare’s appointment as well deserved, citing his experience, competence and leadership qualities.

GOMEP-NG said the appointment demonstrated the governor’s commitment to entrusting strategic positions to competent professionals capable of contributing meaningfully to the development of the state’s institutions.

Otiti, who described Muoboghare as his “father and boss,” said the appointment was a fitting recognition of the professor’s track record and capacity for leadership.

He described Muoboghare as “a square peg in a square hole,” expressing confidence that the new Pro-Chancellor would bring his wealth of experience to bear on the university’s academic and institutional development.

According to him, among those considered for the strategic position, Muoboghare stood out on account of his experience, competence and proven leadership capacity.

Otiti said: “Professor Patrick Muoboghare is eminently qualified for this appointment. His wealth of experience and understanding of institutional administration will undoubtedly add value to Dennis Osadebe University.

“We are confident that he will deploy his expertise towards strengthening the academic, administrative and institutional structures of the university.”

The guild congratulated Muoboghare on the appointment and wished him a successful tenure, while expressing optimism that his leadership would contribute to the growth and development of the institution.
