A new group, South East and South Governors’ Forum, emerged on Sunday to politically work together and realign as a people that shared common heritage, culture and affinity. Governor Emmanuel Udom of Akwa Ibom was appointed as the the chairman of the Forum at the first meeting of the forum held late Sunday night at the Nike Lake Resort, Enugu. Tillerson heads to Kuwait to help resolve GCC crisis

US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is expected to arrive in Kuwait on Monday to help seek a resolution to the crisis between Qatar and four Arab states. Tillerson will “meet with senior Kuwait officials to discuss the ongoing efforts to resolve the Gulf dispute”, the state department said in a statement.
