SylvaLink Chair, Donates Trophy, Jerseys, Books to Mark 14th Annual Sports Competition Of Oginibo S/Schl

The Chairman of SylvaLink Hotels, Deacon Sylvester Pela has donated an athletic Trophy, sets of football jerseys and customized note books to Oginibo Secondary School in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State to mark their 14th annual inter-house sports competition.

According to Pela, “We are doing this to promote and encourage sporting activities and appreciate the best House in all activities in our school so that students can be committed. 

While appreciating the principal and staff of Oginibo Secondary school,  Dcn. Pela said,  “I am impressed by the physical and academic development of this school so far and for that,  I say Principal thank you.

“With what I have seen in here, and as a Sportman and former Games Master, it is worthy to note that sports is needed for both discipline and academic brilliance.

“As such, talented students should not be discourage but encourage and be monitored and properly drilled to divert their attention from negative vise to something positive and productive.

Earlier in his address, the Principal, Mr Naibe Eric expressed gratitude to Staff and students for making the annual Sports competition come to reality.

He said, “That today has been set aside to enable students of the school to display their physical skills and prowess in athletics is not in error.


“We are using this opportunity to express our gratitude to the Mr. Viv Tonwe Pela for the payment of Waec enrollment fees of SS3 student of 2019, and Deacon Sylvester Pela for donating a giant Trophy, Sets of Football jerseys, and customized note books for over all best students of the competition.

“The ongoing construction of gigantic 12 classroom edifice by Total/NNPC Joint Venture and Olorogun Shikaleke Emmanuel who donated soccer balls to the school”.

While soliciting for more assistance,  Naibe disclosed that the school lacks accommodation for Staff, no furnitures, and many uncompleted structures on which works are stagnated for years. Our school fence is partially completed and the gate and gateman’s post are not functional”. He lamented.
