Residents of Up-Agbarho in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, have called on the Delta State commissioner of Police and other security agencies to urgently rescued them from the den of kidnappers and armed robbers that have lay siege in their domains.
This call become necessary following incessant kidnapping, and armed robbery taking place in the area.
An anonymous resident in the area who spoke to the our correspondence said, “About a month ago, four boys with mask came to rob a small estate off Esike close.
“They came to rob a flat in one of the storey building with about four female occupants, where an SS I one student of one of the private school around the area sitting upstairs who pointed a torchlight at them was shot dead.
“The next day afternoon the same group came to ending of smart Duku Street off UpAgbarho street and robbed some boys who are occupants of a compound behind a duplex of their phone,their wives jewelries and cash running into hundreds of naira were stolen.
“Two days later another robbery close to chairman street followed by several kidnapping. It has consistent day light robbery along the roads and streets towards the end of Up Agbarho precisely, Smart Duku, Odjoji avenue and Taiga Avenue. The igbe ending.
We are using this medium to appeal to state Commissioner of Police, our State Governor and Ughelli North Council Chairman to rescue us from the menace.
A senior security source from the Ughelli Area Command who confirmed the incident disclosed that the police are aware and the criminals will hear from us.
“We are very much aware that after they were chased from Iwhreovie and other places, they are harbouring at Up-Agbarho, we are coming for them.
“The Commissioner of of Police and Ughelli Area Commander are not friends to criminals, they are strategizing.”the source disclosed.
