It is with deep respect, solemn reflection, and profound gratitude that we pay tribute to the life and legacy of Late Comrade Chief Wilfred E. A. Ovuorayevbie, a man whose life was devoted to the noble calling of education, service to humanity, and the advancement of teachers’ welfare.

Late Comrade Chief Wilfred E. A. Ovuorayevbie was not merely a teacher; he was a mentor, union leader, disciplinarian, community builder, and a beacon of hope to generations of pupils, colleagues, and community members. His passing marks the end of a remarkable chapter in the history of education and unionism in Ughelli North and beyond.

A Life Dedicated to Education

As Headteacher of Oharisi Model Primary School and Odovie Primary School, Comrade Chief Ovuorayevbie distinguished himself as a committed educationist who believed strongly that education is the most powerful tool for societal transformation.

During his tenure, he worked tirelessly to instill discipline, academic excellence, and moral uprightness in pupils under his care. His administrative style was marked by firm leadership, compassion for pupils, and encouragement for teachers to perform their duties with dedication and integrity.
