Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Ede Dafinone, has congratulated two prominent Urhobo indigenes, Jim Okodaso and Onome Okodiya, on their elevation to the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).
Dafinone described their admission into the Inner Bar as a significant recognition of professional excellence, intellectual accomplishment and unwavering commitment to the administration of justice.
In a congratulatory message, the senator said the achievement had brought honour to the Urhobo Nation, Delta State and the Nigerian legal profession.
He noted that the elevation of the two legal practitioners reflected the enduring tradition of intellectual distinction and professional excellence among the Urhobo people.
Dafinone, who expressed pride in the milestone, said their attainment of the rank was a testament to their dedication, integrity and contributions to the legal profession.
He, however, noted that the prestigious recognition came with greater responsibility to uphold the rule of law, strengthen public confidence in the judiciary and advance the cause of justice in the country.
The senator expressed confidence that the new Senior Advocates would continue to discharge their professional responsibilities with distinction and contribute meaningfully to the administration of justice.
According to him, their accomplishments should inspire younger generations of Urhobo professionals to embrace diligence, discipline and integrity as enduring pathways to excellence.
“Your accomplishments serve as an inspiration to younger generations of Urhobo professionals, demonstrating that diligence, discipline and integrity remain enduring pathways to excellence,” he said.
On behalf of the people of Delta Central Senatorial District, Dafinone wished the two legal practitioners greater wisdom, strength and continued success in their service to the legal profession and the nation.
