Assembly aspirant Kaizer Otobo has submitted his expression of interest and nomination forms for the Ogbia Constituency II ,seat in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, expressing confidence in securing victory.

Speaking to newsmen shortly after submitting his form, Otobo described himself as a “grassroots general,” said he was optimistic about his chances if he faced any challenger.

On what he intends to do differently if elected, Otobo said his priority would be to close the gap between government and the people at the grassroots, adding that he intend to deliver people centered leadership.

“Over the years I have always wanted to serve my people because I have them at heart. There is a disconnect in leadership between the government and the grassroots, and it has been a major concern for both the party and government after elections,” he said.

“Voters hardly feel the impact of government policies and programmes. I am coming to bridge that gap.”

The aspirant pointed to his track record in public service as evidence of his commitment, noting that he had served twice as a councilor and three times as a supervisory councilor.

“My work speaks for itself. As a supervisory councilor, whenever I was posted to a moribund department, I ensured it was revived and made functional,” he said.

Assessing the nomination process, Otobo commended the organisers for conducting the exercise efficiently.
