Oil prices: Trump did not pressure us to increase production – Barkindo

The Secretary-General of the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), Mr Muhammad Barkindo, has dismissed suggestions that pressure by Mr Donald Trump, US President, played a role in OPEC’s decision to increase oil production. Barkindo said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria, on Sunday after the OPEC and non-OPEC ministers had on Saturday agreed to increase oil supplies, which remained unchanged for18 months. Nigerian firm automates garri production

A Nigerian company, Dalisatech Limited, has produced a machine that  automates garri production, from cassava  peeling to frying into the end product, a popular staple in the country. News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) learnt that the machine was invented  by Dalistech after four years of research. Until now, cassava  had to be peeled manually before being processed by a machine, for mostly manual frying. Governor Rochas Okorocha got his revenge on Sunday in the political war with his deputy, Eze Madumere, when Chief Emma Ibediro,  Okorocha’s candidate for the All Progressives Congress National Organising Secretary position defeated incumbent Sen. Police confirm 86 killed in Plateau, curfew slammed on 3 LGAs
