The Managing Director of Tanttita Security Services Nigeria Limited, TSSNL High Chief Kestin Pondi has revealed that youth development is paramount to effective security in the Niger Delta.
He made this known during the commissioning of Isoko Youth House, at Ozoro, Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State.
Speaking during the commissioning, High Chief Kestin Pondi said, “As the chairman of this occasion, I believed that developing youth is most paramount to security.
“And it is on this ground that I stand before you with humility and profound sense of responsibility to on behalf of my chairman, High Chief Government Owezide Ekpemuopolo, the one known both in fair and bad weather.
“The management of Tanttita and staff are all honored to stand in front of you with humility and a profound sense of responsibility to officially unveil and hand over this noble edifice we named the ‘Isoko
Youth House’, Fred Obe Secretariat.
“This event is more than a symbolic gesture as it represents the enduring relationship between the Tantita group and the great people of Isoko Nation.
“It reflects our unwavering belief that true security lies not just in physical protection but the enabling environment that drives sustainable peace and progress.
“We are gathered here today to celebrate a promise fulfilled a very tangible vision, the Youth House is not just brick and mortar but it is a center of purpose designed to empower, organize aspirations of Isoko youths
“The Tanttita Security Services has not supported this program for the purpose of applause but because we believe that when you empower the youth you secure the future.
“When you invest in institutions, you reduce conflict, when you invest in community, you cultivate loyalty, stability and peace.
“We have named this secretariat after a gallant son of Isoko land, Chief Fred Obe, whose legacy of youth leadership, courage and commitment to justice continue to inspire many. May this house carry that same spirit.
“To the Isoko youths, this is your house, use it wisely, guide it, work collaboratively with all stakeholders to promote security, economic empowerment, and sustainable development in the Niger Delta.” He advised.
Earlier in his speech, president of Isoko National Youth Assembly, INYA, Comr Eniwake Orogun said, “When I became the INYA president, what I met in this place was a carcass and when I had the opportunity to meet with the MD of Tanttita, I defied various suggestions and I asked him to assist us in flooring the entire place.
“But my request went beyond what I asked for as he told us in that meeting to give him the total cost that would complete the building and before we left his office, we got what we requested and we immediately commenced work at the site.
“After roofing the building, we had another challenge where the building was giving way and we had to meet him again and he requested we should give him the budget to completion and that is why you are seeing this beautiful edifice that is being commissioned today
“I want to use this opportunity to express my gratitude and that of the entire Isoko youths for your meaningful contribution to the successful story of the building
“Let us continue to work together, support each other to build a future we can all be proud of and my this house be a beacon of hope, unity and progress in generations to come”.He stated
