Third Phase beneficiaries of the Presidential Amnesty Programme PAP, Bayelsa State chapter, has inaugurated a new leadership to pilot its affairs .
The election to the various positions of the body which took place at the Kanlayou- Kanlayouu- Hotel ,, Yenagoa, the state capital produced the following executives: Gen. Stanley Abiri, emerged as Chairman, Vice Chairman, Daubo Gilbert, Secretary, Engobor Okorotie, Assistant Secretary, Chief Jerry Cole, Publicity Secretary, Tare Job and Financial Secretary, Pereowei Inesei.
Others are Clement Ebikeme,, Mobilization Officer, Akpana Thank God, Welfare Officer, Victor Boubai, Adviser 1, Chief Timi Innocent Sara, Adviser 2, July Ebimiekumi, Spokesman, Steven Ogei
Provost, Dickson Youna and Chief Security Officer, Diton Orus, respectively.
While swearing-in the new leadership Gen. Lucky Willy, who was represented the National Chairman, Amb. Gen. Preye Ekpebidei and his vice AIhaji Lutugbene, charged the new state Exco to be upright and be agents of social change in the region as well as be good ambassadors of the Amnesty Programme.
He encouraged the new Exco to work in synergy towards the vision and mission of the body and urged them to remain united and intensify on the goals of the programme.
He also appealed to them to discharge their duties with integrity and transparency.
In his acceptance, the newly elected State Chairman, Gen Abiri, ‘thanked members for founding him worthy to be elected as their Chairman saying that he would not disappoint them.
He commended the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Dr, Dennis Otuaro, efforts in stabilizing the programme , pledging the undiluted loyalty of beneficiaries to him.
He assured them of quality service delivery
He said , ” my mission is to bring peace and unity in Bayelsa “. Assuring that he is committed to peace building and development in the Niger Delta region.
He stressed that he would not be sentimental in the discharge of his officials duties to all members.
Abiri ,also called on relevant authorities ensure the upward review of the monthly stipend to beneficiaries, which according to him, was grossly inadequate with the present economic realities.
The national executive of the body attended the election included: Gen. Lucky Willy, National Treasurer,Comrade Tonye Bobo, immediate past National Chairman, Randy Andakuro, National publicity Secretary, Delta Dede, National Financial Secretary, John Sawyer, National Chief Security Officer, among others.
