New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Bayelsa State has elected new Executives to pilot its affairs in the State.
The election was held during the State Congress of the Party at the state secretariat in the State capital Yenagoa.
Recall that the Party had previously held its Wards and Local Government Area Congresses on November 24th and December 1st, 2025 respectively in all the 8 LGAs in the State.
The State Congress was conducted by the State Congress Committee headed by Prof. Stanley Golikumo Mangiri with Barrister Apreala Kemezidiegha as Secretary and Mrs Susan Gboribiogha and Uzairu Sunusi as members.
INEC Officials led by the Head of EPM were present to monitor the State Congress.
Delegates for the Congress were drawn from all the LGAs which elected the State Officers to steer the affairs of the Party in Bayelsa State.
At the end of the election, Dr. Joel Tubonimi was re-elected as State Chairman to lead the Party in Bayelsa State. Other elected State Executives of the Party include Apu Ebipere Fidelis and Elder John Agulasa as Vice Chairmen for Bayelsa West and Central, Hon. Iniye Appah James as the State Secretary and others.
In his acceptance speech, the elected State Chairman Dr. Joel Tubonimi thanked delegates and members of the Party for the matured and peaceful conduct of the Congress.
Dr. Tubonimi also thanked Stakeholders for their support and lauded INEC Officials particularly the Head of EPM for their cooperation.
He paid glowing appreciation to the National Leadership of the Party under Dr. Ajuji Mohammed and the National Leader Sen. Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso for his sound and purposeful leadership.
He also thanked the Speaker of Kano State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Jibril Isma’il Falgore for his emerse support to the Party in Bayelsa State.
The State Chairman called on his newly elected Executives of the Party in the State to join hands in unity to further lift the Party and take the message of NNPP and the National Leader Sen. Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso to the nooks and crannies of Bayelsa State.
The NNPP state helmsman vowed to do more to ensure NNPP becomes the Party of choice for all Bayelsans as we move towards 2027.
