The Bayelsa State Police Command said four personnel attached to Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, that allegedly accompanied the prime suspect, Bodmas Kemepadei to Ammasoma to arrest Peresoudei Patrick and later assaulted him have been arrested.
According to the by Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Musa Mohammed
Peresoudei Patrick was arrested and taken to Bodmas Kemepadei residence in Yenagoa and was reportedly assaulted before his death.
The statement stated that State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID is also interrogating the Investigating Team attached to Operation Restore Peace( Operation Puff Adder).
It noted the the Police remain resolute and committed in carrying out a thorough, impartial and transparent investigation on the circumstances surrounding the death Presoudei Patrick.
The statement added that all suspects who have allegedly involved in the incident will thoroughly investigated and prosecuted in accordance to the law if found culpable.
The Police said it has intensified efforts to arrest snd prosecuted by activating ifs investigatibe notelork to arrest the prime suspect, .Bodmas Kemepadei who is at large.
The Commissioner of Police Bayelsa State, CP Iyamah Daniel, appealed to members of the public for their continued support and understanding while urging them to volunteer useful information that will assist the police on its investigation.
