Bayelsa State deputy governor, Senator Lawrence Eghrwudjakpor has been confirmed dead while in office.
Though the cause of his death could not be ascertained,it was learned that the deputy governor slumps and died in his office.
Senator Lawrence Eghrwudjakpor hails from Ofoni community of Ekeremor local government area of Bayelsa State and he refused to defect to the All Progressives Congress, APC, when his immediate boss, Governor Douye Diri joined the APC few weeks ago.
Unconfirmed reports disclosed that the late deputy governor was intending to succeed Governor Douye Diri at the 2027 general election in Bayelsa.
