The Bishop of the Diocese of Ogbia, Rt. Rev. Tamunotari Matthew Obaze, has commended the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, for his immense contributions to the development of the Niger Delta region.
The commendation was made during Dr. Ogbuku’s 50th birthday Thanksgiving service held at the St. Mark Anglican Church, Ayakoro, in Bayelsa State.
The service was attended by several dignitaries, including the NDDC Executive Director, Projects, Dr. Victor Antai, Bayelsa State Representative on the Board of NDDC, Senator Dimaro Denyanbofa, and other Directors of the Commission.
The clergy praised Dr. Ogbuku for recognizing God’s favor in his life, stating that such an act is a gateway to more blessings.
The sermon, taken from the Book of Psalms 103, emphasized the importance of appreciating God’s love in every situation.
The clergy and other attendees commended Dr. Ogbuku’s leadership qualities and his commitment to bringing development to the Niger Delta region.
They expressed confidence in his ability to continue making a positive impact in the region.
In his message of appreciation, Dr. Ogbuku thanked God for the love and achievements recorded in the region through the Commission under his watch.
He also expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing him, the Board and Management of NDDC, and staff who have contributed to his successes.
Dr. Ogbuku reaffirmed NDDC’s commitment to partnering with the Bayelsa State Government in the area of development and human capacity building.
