Bayelsa Govt. Woos Investors At Maiden Mega Entrepreneurship And Business Innovation Summit

The Bayelsa State Government has declared that the state is now poised to receive massive investment opportunities, as a result of the conducive business environment being created by the present administration.

 

Governor Douye Diri made this known at a one-day Mega Entrepreneurship and Business Innovation Summit held in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

 

Governor Diri, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Nimibofa Ayawei, challenged business owners and entrepreneurs in the state to key into the various entrepreneurship and business innovation programmes of government.

 

He reiterated that the Government of Assured Prosperity was prepared to drive industrialisation in the state, citing investments in security, power supply, and road construction as evidence of the government’s commitment to creating a favourable business environment.

 

Dr. Cosmas Maduka, CEO of Coscharis Group, and Chief Innocent Chukwuma, CEO of Innoson Groups, were among the notable speakers who shared insights on becoming entrepreneurial giants.

 

They emphasized the importance of vision, faith, planning, focus, innovation, and adaptability in today’s rapidly evolving business landscape.

 

The convener of the programme, Mrs. Charity Kens Godwin, Technical Adviser to the Governor on Entrepreneurship Development, expressed her appreciation for the turnout and the spirit of collaboration at the summit.

 

She acknowledged Governor Diri’s support for business owners and his efforts to build the capacity of Bayelsans through skills acquisition over the past five years.

 

She noted that the hosting of the Mega Entrepreneurship and Business Innovation Summit demonstrated the Bayelsa State Government’s commitment to empowering entrepreneurs and fostering a vibrant business environment for sustainable development.
