Governors meet over minimum wage

The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) on Wednesday night met in Abuja to discuss issues of minimum wage, insecurity and other matters of interests for the development of the country. While the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) is proposing a minimum wage of N65,000 for workers, the governors have been insisting on the staggering of the implementation of the new wage, if approved. killings: PDP declares 7 days mourning

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has declared a mourning period of seven days for the victims of attacks in in Plateau State and other parts of the country. The National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Kola Ologbondiyan, said that during the mourning period, the party’s flags in its offices will be flown at half-mast in honour of those who lost their lives. UEFA bans AC Milan for 2 seasons

UEFA has handed AC Milan  a two-year ban from European competitions following a breach of FFP rules. The Italian giants finished sixth in Serie A last season to secure their spot in next season’s Europa League. But they will not be taking part in the competition after UEFA confirmed they had breached FFP guidelines. Milan will be excluded from participating in 2018/19 and the next season even if they qualify for one of Europe’s competitions.
