My ADC Was A Little Bit Exhausted, He is Responding To Treatment – Gov. Obaseki

Governor Godwin Obaseki has disclosed that his Aide-De-Camp, who slumped during his second term inauguration at Benin City, Edo State was exhausted and he is currently recovering.

The governor made this know while featuring in a monitored Channels Tv program, ‘#Politics Today’ anchored by Seun Okinbaloye immediately after he was sworn in for his second term.

According to Governor Obaseki,”He is fine, he is responding to treatment, I think he was a little bit exhausted”.

Governor Godwin Obaseki in the program highlighted that in his second tenure, he is going to reduce political appointment and focus more on the civil service because it is the engine of every government and agriculture.

He assured that his administration will open up more cities in the state to create more room for employment.

In the education sector, he held that his administration has started screening of 3,000 teachers and 1,000 persons on the core civil service.

We intend to hire new professionals into the civil service and bring in much younger ones to bring down the average age from about 47 years now to something much lower.

Speaking on his Predecessor, Adams Oshiomole, Obaseki disclosed that elections have come and gone though Oshiomole has never contacted him after the election likewise himself but if he does he will welcome him.

He has not called me neither have I called him too but if he has anything positive to contribute to this administration, we will welcome it but for now I don’t think he has anything.
