DFAC, PIND, Graduate Over 100 Youths On Agric Skills In Ughelli

THE Doctor Fish Agric Consults in partnership with PIND foundation, has graduated over 100 youths in different agricultural skills  acquisition programmes in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta state.
Trained majorly on fishery, best graduands were rewarded with tarpauline fish ponds and grills, while other groups were registered as cooperative society with certificates presented.
Speaking during event, the trainer, Mr Israel Yusuf popularly known as Doctor Fish said, Today our youths finished an empowerment programe tagged, ‘Youth Employment Pathway Project’ funded by PIND were 101 youths successfully completed the training.

We are motivated to embark on this program because of the high rate of unemployment in Nigeria, especially in the Niger Delta despite been the bread basket of Nigeria.
“There is high level of poverty, unemployment and social vices among the youths, and we partner with the PIND foundation who is the responder and sponsor of the project to do what we are doing.
“This programm was put together to ensure that we give our youths skills that are necessary to become self reliance and fulfil their dreams.”
Commending Doctor Fish Agric Consults, DFAC, the Parish priest of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ughelli, Fr. Mario Ozele said, “In civilized nations, government do not provide jobs but create an enabling environment for people to produce jobs.
“You have been empowered to make a difference and allow you to explore and discover new areas  and If our youths arise and act, they have the strength and dynamism to general huge transformation in the society.”
You have received new knowledge and let it expand your mind, don’t get stock in one place because business is dynamic, take every principle you have learned and utilized them in other areas.”
A beneficiary of the free Agric skill acquisition program, Ayeni Kuburat who expressed gratitude to the organizer of the project and its sponsors, said, “It has been my dream and quest to learn a skill and be a great farmer.
“Ordinarily i was not qualify because of my age but because of my consistency and zeal to learn a skill, i was selected and i never regret learning a skill in Agriculture.
