Student Agric. Education: Rev. Fr. Ignatius, Mrs Ossai Applaud NASC Support

A Clergyman and the Principal of St Patrick’s College, Asaba, Rev. Fr. Ignatius Offor, Vice principal II, and Head of Department, Agricultural service, Mrs Hauwa Evelyn Ossai has Commended the Leadership of National Agricultural Seeds Council on support to their Students towards Agricultural development.

Rev. Fr. Ignatius alongside the second Vice Principal if the school made this assertion today during a one day sensitization Workshop to secondary schools in Delta State on crop improvement held at the premises of St Patrick’s College, Asaba, Delta State Capital.

The Director-General of National Agricultural Seeds Council (NASC) was represented by the Director of Seed inspectorate, Mr. A. A. Agboola, Regional Director of NASC, Monveyak Usua, and other top Government functionaries were present in that great gathering for Students Agricultural Education, and sensitization on crop production.

This according to then will help the students towards the promotion of the growth and development of Agriculture in the country stated the need to take the the study and practice of Agriculture very seriously.

The Leadership of Maize and Commodity Associations in Nigeria taught the students the importance of crops improvement thereby urged them to cultivate Maize and other crops as farmers for better yields and as well show more interest in Agriculture.

NASC Leadership therefore promised to supply quality Agricultural seeds to Schools as part of their contributions towards ensuring that students show more interest in Agriculture in Delta State and Nigeria in general.
