News Update: Okowa Lost Ughelli North To Agege, Emerhor

 
..as Jaro,Oniyere win Ughelli North I, &II House of Assembly seats 

The Independent National Electoral Commission has announced the governorship and Delta State House of Assembly election results in Ughelli North Constituency I and II, as Okowa and the two House of Assembly seat were also lost to the All Progressives Congress, APC.


Declaring the result for Ughelli North Constituency I, the Returning Officer, Dr. Daniel Orumwese declared the candidate of the All Progrssives Congress, Oniyere Charles winner with total votes of 5,600 to beat Kenneth Ibru of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP who scored 3,618 votes. 

Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta is the stronghold of the All Progrssives Congress, with Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor and the Acting Executive Director of Projects at the NDDC Board, Engr. Samuel Adjogbe.

Also, at Ughelli North Constituency II,  the Returning Officers, Dr. Clara Obehi, announced the candidate of the All Progrssives Congress, Barr. Jaro Egbo as the winner with the total votes of 11, 709 to beat the incumbent, Prince Eric Oharisi who polled 10,740 votes. 

While the governorship, Great Ogboru of APC scored 22,081 to beat Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP,  with 19,045 votes.
