Just in: School Proprietor Regains Freedom After N10m Ransom

Abductors of the Proprietor of Kogbodi International Schools in Ughelli, Delta State, Mr. Patrick Kogbodi has been released after it was gathered a ransom was for release.

Kogbodi who spent barely two weeks in the hand of his abductors was released at the early hours of Saturday 12 October, 2019 at Emevor in Isoko North local government area of the state.

The victim who was abducted by the hoodlums along Aroh Road, Ughelli, was on his way to church service when he was waylaid and whisked away to an unknown location by his abductors.

According to sources, “Before his abduction, Kogbodi had just celebrated his 70th birthday the previous Saturday.

The source said, “At about 1.AM on Saturday, the kidnappers called members of his family to go and dropped the ransom of N10m at a place that was shown to them in Benin City, Edo state.

Before they came back from Edo State, he has been released and dropped at Emevor in Isoko North.

“The kidnappers gave him the N1,000 to transport himself back home while his mobile phone the clothes he wore were ceased.”
