EFCC drags Stallion Motors, MD to court over alleged N1.275bn ‘gift’ to PDP

The Economic and Financial CrimesCommission (EFCC) has filed charges at the Federal Capital Territory High Court against Stallion Motors Limited and its Managing Director, Hapreet Singh, for allegedly offering a gratification of N1.275 billion to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2015 polls. A former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki (rtd) and ex-Minister of Finance Bashir Yuguda allegedly collected the money for the party. The United States said Sunday it has not ruled out sanctions on Venezuelan oil as it turns the screw on President Nicolas Maduro, but is wary of hurting the country’s people. Zinox Group, a Nigerian ICT company, has acquired e-market giant, Konga, after months of intense negotiation. The integrated ICT solutions and equipment manufacturer acquired Konga from the major investors — Naspers and AB Kinnevik. A World Health Organisation (WHO) has reported that that Nigeria ranks highest on the list of nations with unvaccinated children, despite the fact that vaccination greatly reduces disease, disability, mortality and inequity worldwide.
