Girl, boyfriend docked for dumping 3-week-old baby

A girl and her boyfriend were, yesterday, brought before an Upper Area Court 3 in Jos, Plateau State, for dumping their three-week-old baby girl by the roadside. The girl, a 15-year-old student, was arraigned alongside her boyfriend, Abdullahi Ismail, the suspected father of the abandoned child. The accused pleaded not guilty to the offence punishable under Sections 97 and 237 of the Penal Code. The Indian capital is the country’s most polluted city, while Uttar Pradesh is the country’s most polluted state, a new report has revealed. The report, titled Airpocalypse II, by global environmental organisation Greenpeace’s India chapter, has found that Delhi is the most polluted city in India, while with 15 of its cities among the 30 polluted cities of the country, Uttar Pradesh is India’s most polluted state. AU Summit: China denies bugging allegations

China and the African Union on Monday dismissed a report in French Media which said that Beijing had bugged the regional bloc’s headquarters in the Ethiopian capital. An article published Friday in Le Monde, quoting anonymous AU sources, reported that data from computers in the Chinese-built building had been transferred nightly to Chinese servers for five years.
